Composer’s notes
EN The music of this piece for a cappella choir is closely linked to the beauty of the text, which is rich in meaning. My aim was simply to translate into music the inner joy, the infinite sweetness that the bread of heaven, the Body of Christ, gives us. This sweetness is also the fullness of joy and depth of feeling that I sought to express throughout the piece. The piece is intentionally concise. It is the ecstasy of a moment that then becomes energy for the concrete life of every day.
IT La musica di questo brano è profondamente legata alla bellezza del testo, ricco di significato. Molto semplicemente, ho cercato di tradurre in musica la gioia interiore, l’infinita dolcezza che ci dona il pane del cielo, il Corpo di Cristo. Questa dolcezza diventa anche pienezza della gioia e profondità dell'espressione che attraversa tutta la composizione. Il brano è breve perché vuole essere essenziale, è l’estasi di un attimo che diventa poi energia per la vita concreta di tutti i giorni.
